Profhilo is a very safe and effective treatment when performed by medically qualified specialist professional. We will guide you regarding suitable treatment course depending on your skin’s requirements. It is best to avoid extremes of temperature for 7 days after treatment. It is not suitable if you are pregnant or breast feeding.

You will feel a little pressure and stinging in the skin which indicates the Profhilo is being delivered within in the skin where it is needed. We provide full aftercare advice and apply a premium SPF to the skin for added protection.
After treatment your skin may feel warm with some swelling at the treatment sites which go in a few hours. It may feel warm and there is possibility of a little pin prick bruise. There are no serious risks associated with this treatment. However please ensure you provide us with your full medical history and update any changes which may occur.
After treatment you should expect mild redness or inflammation or swelling. This usually lasts between 12-24 hours.
First your medical history will be taken followed by an examination of your skin concerns. You can discuss whether Profhilo treatment is suitable for you and address your expectations from treatment. When the treatment has been fully explained you will be required to sign a consent form and a photograph will be taken for your confidential records.
Following cleansing local anaesthetic can be applied if needed.
Profhlio treatment will then commence with superficial subcutaneous injection.

Treatment is offered as a 2-3 session course (using 2ml Profhilo per session )with 21-42 days between treatments.
Larger areas can be treated during a course, however more Profhilo is needed which is reflected in the price.
For skin with severe skin damage and severe laxity a 3 or 4 session course may be more appropriate.

Side effects are minimal if any. Injection site tenderness and mild bruising may occur.
It should not to be used if pregnant or breast feeding as we have no research to prove it is safe for your foetus or child.
Care must be taken if diagnosed with neurological or bleeding disorders, currently suffering with a skin infection or allergy or taking particular medication. Your specialist will be able to advise you further.
Please discuss any current medication with the doctor, especially if you are taking aspirin on Ibuprofen. Medication may need to be stopped before treatment.
Ensure you have booked your second treatment 21-42 days after the first and a follow up 1 month after your second treatment.
Further Profhilo booster sessions or courses will maintain the results.
