Thames Skin Facial treatments combined with our Elite hydrafacial is suitable for all skin types and ages. We have the option to combine Hydrafacial with:

How safe is treatment?

Will I feel any pain or discomfort during my treatment?
No. The Thames Skin Facial variety are a skin detoxifying, stimulating exfoliation and hydrating treatment as well as relaxing elements including the rejuvenation phase with LED therapy. This is the most luxurious part of the treatments and we hope to leave your skin refreshed, rejuvenated, pampered and relaxed.
Are there any associated risks?
There are no side effects or risks associated with this treatment. We discuss your medical history and allergies prior to treatment.
How much downtime is usually needed and what should I expect?
There is no downtime at all following a Thames Skin Facial treatment. You may leave with a spring in your step feeling fabulous and confident with gorgeous glowing skin.
Procedure
The procedure will depend on which combination treatment you have chosen. However, each combination will start with the Hydrafacial:
There are six or seven steps in a HydraFacial™ treatment. These include
- Detox using lymphatic drainage,
- Deep cleanse and exfoliation,
- An especially designed acid peel of varying strengths to suit your skin requirements,
- Extraction of plugged pores and skin debris
- Hydration and revitalisation followed by
- LED rejuvenation using Dermalux Flex.
- Additional steps may be added focus on your individual skin concerns, to strengthen Collagen, antiaging or assist pigmentation control.
Who can have HydraFacial™ ?
Almost everyone can have HydraFacial ™. Please let us know if you have any allergies, especially to aspirin, shellfish and honey. We will need to understand the type of sensitivity and if it means HydraFacial™ is not for you we can suggest some other more suitable treatments to address your skin concerns.

Side effects
Are possible after all treatments and vary per individual. Following hydrafacial and skin tightening treatment side effects are minimal and you may return to your normal daily activities but may include redness (erythema), possible mild bruises (most likely if taking blood thinning medication) small cat scratch like marks on the skin from high collagen and movement away from HIFU.
Aftercare
Following all facials with additional skin tightening or treatment enhancements it is essential to follow the post treatment guidelines.
Please use sun protection, stay out of the sun, cover up, wear a hat and apply SPF30 or above. Professional SPF products can be purchased during your appointment.
It is best to avoid extremes of heat, sauna’s, steam rooms, and freezing cold environments if possible for 7 days. Please disclose any travel or holiday plans with your therapist.
It is sensible to:
- avoid alcohol for 12 hours
- avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
- avoid wearing makeup for 12 hours
- stay hydrated by drinking water
