When you and your skin are ready for a peel the area is cleansed thoroughly, the peel is applied and after acting it is removed. Post procedure spf must be worn.
Skin peels do feel itchy and may sting the skin on application. Ideally they are left on the skin for 5 minutes but you must tell your doctor if it feels too strong for you.
Preparation
Skin peels are best performed after several weeks of preparation. Pre-treatment with skincare products prepares the skin for the peel and stops the peel burning and causing hyper pigmentation. The length of preparation recommended depends on your skin type and concerns.
Treatment is a safe and effective way of refreshing and rejuvenating the skin as well as treating fine lines, texture, tone and wrinkles.
Any area of skin can be suitable for a peel from the face and back to the décolletage and neck. Arms and legs too, especially if there are scars and pigmentation problems.
Pre-treatment is essential in order to prevent the peel burning and causing damage to the skin. In some clients a good medical skin care regimen is better than a peel.
Skin peels should not be used if pregnant or breast feeding.

Skin Peels vary by the area of treatment given and the type of peel used to achieve the best results. We often get asked about the cost of treatment. At Thames Skin Clinic we pride ourselves on results rather than focus on the price of a treatment, it is more important that we get the correct quality of product rather than offer cut price treatments, products and services (especially when it comes to medical treatments). You will never see Thames Skin Clinic advertising services on social coupon sites such as Groupon as we believe they have a negative impact on our customer safety, results and satisfaction. We also wish to abide by the advertising regulator and work in a safe ethical manor.
Our prices reflect the skill, training and premier product choices we have made as well as the true reflection of the beautiful bespoke clinic surroundings.
